Sauna stones for wood-fired sauna heaters

Harvia AC3020 sauna stones are selected with respect for time-honored traditions, and they embody the spirit of an authentic, hearty sauna. Harvia sauna stones emit a robust yet gentle heat. Rough-hewn sauna stones are the only suitable choice for electric sauna heaters and wood-fired stoves, as they store a great deal of heat and the sauna water evaporates efficiently due to the stones’ large broken surfaces. The angular block stones can be arranged with ample space between them, which is the most important requirement—especially in wood-fired sauna heaters—so that the heat can radiate into the sauna between the hot stones.

Lightweight (ceramic), soft (soapstone), and smooth (round) sauna stones do not produce the desired results and can cause problems, especially in electric heaters. Therefore, they should not be used.
